FEI is a qualified referent for schools, families and local communities and entities, operating locally, nationally and internationally on four levels:
- Advocacy – Supporting food education programs in schools, following MIUR’s Food Education Guidelines
- Funding – Finding resources to support food education activities and promote new quality events within the school system
- Social networking – Establishing networks of relations that provide all the parties active in food education opportunities for structured dialogue and interaction
- Awareness – Promoting and enhancing the large community of practice to which belong all who identify in the emerging values of food education
The Foundation and its Participants operate according to a Codice Deontologico (Ethical Code) and to the principles set out in the Carta dei Valori (Code of Values).
